Part of the continuing Mabbul series—named for the Hebrew word for “flood”—Mabbul #3 explores the subconscious as a shifting current of emotions, beliefs, and emerging forms. Painted during the chaos and isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the work reflects both an internal sense of submersion and the instability of a world overtaken by forces that felt immense, disorienting, and beyond individual control.
