Built through successive layers and washes of spray paint and acrylic, Johnny developed without a fixed image in mind. As color accumulated and receded, the flower emerged through the process and gradually asserted its form. The painting reflects an intuitive exchange between control and discovery, allowing the image to reveal itself rather than be imposed.
